Statement of Circumstances

This Milk Supply Agreement is for the supply period commencing on or after 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026 and applies to farmers with a dairy farm located in the following milk pick up regions who will supply us on either an exclusive or non-exclusive basis and otherwise meet the Statement of Circumstances below.

Victoria, Riverina New South Wales, Southeast South Australia – specifically the following local areas:
Local Government Areas; Victoria Greater Shepparton, Moira, Campaspe, Gannawarra (east of Kerang), Wangaratta, Indigo, Ballarat, Towong, Alpine,
Wodonga. Southern NSW specifically; Murray, Berrigan, Corowa

Local Government Areas of Gippsland specifically: Wellington, Latrobe, Baw Baw,
South Gippsland, Bass Coast (east of San Remo), Cardinia, Yarra Ranges and a
30km radius of Orbost in East Gippsland.

Western Districts specifically: Colac Otway (25km radius of Colac township),
Corangamite, Moyne, Warrnambool, Glenelg, Southern Grampians. South Australia
specifically: Grant and Wattle Range (south of Lucindale).

Statement of Circumstances:
  • Capacity to deliver a minimum of 75,000 kg of Milk Solids per Financial Year.  Records of vat breakdowns will not be included when considering Supplier capacity;
  • For Exclusive Suppliers, capacity to consistently supply a volume of Milk in excess of the agreed Monthly Minimum Volume for each month of the Term;
  • Capacity to provide once a day pick up only (whether on a daily or skip a day basis);
  • Willingness to complete and return to Bega the Better Farms Circularity Survey;
  • Demonstrated ability to provide Grade 1 Milk for the entire Financial Year with less than 250,000 SCC average;
  • Suitable and operating back-up generators for all milk storage vats at the Farm/s;
  • Current Dairy Food Safety Licence;
  • Compliance with all applicable laws in relation to milk production, including environmental/effluent management, animal welfare and occupational, health and safety laws;
  • Safe and efficient B Double tanker access and logistically efficient collection for the Bega Group, with Milk ready for collection within Bega pick up nominated collection windows
  • Sufficient production capacity for a minimum milk collection of 1400L (milk no more than 48hrs old);
  • Meets assessment and verification checks;
  • At the time the farmer offers to enter into this agreement, Bega Group has not already entered into sufficient milk supply agreements to meet its demand for milk.
  • If the supply of milk exceeds Bega Group’s demand, priority will be given to existing suppliers to Bega Group and those suppliers who want to supply Bega Group on an exclusive basis with suitable proximity to Bega’s processing facilities that will use such milk.
