Export

The Bega Group began exporting its extensive range of retail cheese products in the early 1990’s, fuelled by the strong import demand from non dairying regions, such as the Middle-East.  To a large extent, the Bega Group exports these same products as it sells in the Australian market, where we are the No. 1 selling brand of cheese.  However we now also tailor make cheese products to suit particular international requirements.

For example the Bega Group operates the only cheese canning line out of the trans-Tasman region in order to service the demand for this style of presentation into the Middle-East.  At last count, the Bega Group was exporting over 60 million units of cheese per year to approximately 40 different countries. Largest export off takes are to the Middle-East, SE Asia and North Asia, with sales also to central and south America and the Pacific Islands.
